To the Lighthouse

This musical adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse explores themes of imposter syndrome, women’s roles in society, and the different kinds of legacy we can leave to those who come after us. Our protagonist Lily Briscoe faces confining gender roles, limited resources, other people’s dismissal of her art, and her own inner demons that question her right to make art in the first place. She must confront and grapple with each of these obstacles to realize her vision and finish her painting, making her mark on the world.
