CYCLES
A New Musical
Co-Written by Amy Andrews & Kat Zimmerman
About the Show
CYCLES is an original musical about abortion rights. This 90-minute, ensemble-driven show is a love letter to people who have abortions and the people who care for them. CYCLES takes place in the present day at a reproductive health clinic in an unnamed US town. On the day the show takes place, the state legislature is debating a measure that, if passed, would make abortion illegal in the state. We meet the clinic patients, providers, and staff, and hear about their unique stories, experiences, and perspectives. We also travel outside the clinic to visit with activists around the world who are working in different ways to protect abortion rights.

Journey of an Artist with Emmeline
“Calling all women in entertainment! We all need the reminder that we're not alone in the messiness and imperfections of our creative pursuits. In this episode, Emmeline sits down with writer, dramaturg, and librettist Amy Andrews for a heartfelt, honest, candid interview about the twists and turns of Amy's creative journey--and why community among women is SO important when building a life for yourself as an artist.”
Writer Real Talk with Michael Radi
“In this ninth episode of the Writer Real Talk interview series I sit down with the prolific, motivated, and fantastic writer and wearer-of-many-hats, Amy Andrews. Our main topic today is all about getting started in the industry as a musical theatre writer, but we also touch on Imposter Syndrome, the power of community, accessibility in the industry, and much much more!”
